We're just a stone’s throw off route one in Midcoast Maine. You will enjoy the sea breeze, chatter and flutter of an abundance of wildlife, Enjoy a local lobster, pick your own blueberries, or hike or bike on the property. The stunning porch with colorful couches invites you to lounge with feet up and a good book and one ear/eye on the delightful flurry at the feeders. Our hundreds of happy guests have reported a perfect balance of ooh and ahh, upbeat and down time and lots of authentic Maine hospitality. As one recent guest put it, “the owners of this little slice of heaven couldn’t have been more welcoming”. Another shared, “The only complaint I have is that I couldn’t stay longer! We loved the comfy bed, the delicious blueberry muffins, the fresh lobster, and the crackling campfire inviting us for ‘smores and great conversation.  Don’t miss this!” 

 

At HHLM you will enjoy your private space with chances to connect with your host or other guests at the campfire or spontaneous lobster feast or vegan dinner if you like. The groovy lodging includes: the Hippie Bus, the Emerald Forest Cabin, the Tee Pee and the Peace, Love Lilac Shack. These are bedroom spaces only with three shared baths and three kitchens. It has worked “wicked good”. 

 

Choose from a myriad of “experiences” at modest additional costs:

 

• Breakfast or dinner with fresh, often organic, locally sourced products including lobster

• Relaxing, rejuvenating Reiki session with Cary

• A paddle nearby in one of our one or two person kayaks

• A lead road bike ride on the island with Cary or a rental to ride gravel trails next door

• A foraging walk in the woods and creation of trail nibble noshes/sips

• Planting seedling starters and taking a more mature one home

• Arts and craft projects from tea cup birdfeeder to rock painting

• Learn about brewing kombucha, sample and take a scobie home
